Food Tuesday: Salad Sammich

#FoodTuesday #writingprompt

Summertime means fresh, real, clean tomatoes from the farmers markets.

Also: I was making a BLT once with microwave bacon and I forgot the bacon was in the microwave and made the sammich without the bacon and didn’t even notice. So now I deliberately make PLTs: Pickle, lettuce, and tomato.

HOWEVER, on this day, I had some leftover cucumber salad (cucumber, feta cheese, and Italian dressing), so I used that instead of pickles. And, yeah, I washed that lettuce to within an inch of its life.

Okay, HOCUS POCUS fans, say it with me:

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: Something with so many substitutions it becomes something else.

About

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

Hmm. Feta is a very particular flavor, for sure. Do you like goat cheese? That is, as my grandpa would say, same thing only different.
