Thursday Doors: Huber’s Orchard, etc.

#ThursdayDoors #writingprompt

We went to Huber’s, which is always a Big Deal because it’s a Big Place. It’s a working orchard, farm, and winery, with a family play park attached. Couple of restaurants, food stands, market filled with their produce and fresh snacks…. Pretty much a festival that’s always there. They have a special Fall Festival in the … er … fall, where you can pick your own pumpkin out in the field. I did not go. The kids did, and came back heavy with harvest and their parents lighter of purse.

These pictures come from the family play park, where the interesting doors were. I took them from outside the fence, which might have gotten me arrested, but we DID have the kids we were with inside the park with their parents. The rest of us were like, Hell, naw, I’m not paying six dollars to go in and watch somebody else play.

So.

The little girls loved this, which we couldn’t see into. They could drive tractors and operate baby heavy machinery (sorry, Dan). Loved. It.

I loved these crooked houses. It was hard to get pictures without children in them. I finally got one with the grownup in the doorway but not identifiable, so I went with that.

What’s a pumpkin festival without a pumpkin house?

The grown-ups were really in the vibe, too. A kind grown-up whom I didn’t know let me photograph her purse.

So cute!

By the way, have you seen Coco? I love Coco so much!
