We accompanied some children to a pumpkin festival at an orchard/farm/playground on Sunday and I did NOTHING yesterday. A fine time was had by all at the venue, although it was damp and my arthritis was aching me from the soles of my feet to my jaw. If I had joints in my skull, they would have been aching, too. But it was a blast! Doors from it on Thursday, but I’m sorry I ate all the donuts. You’ll just have to go get your own or, as I did, have a son-in-law get some for you.

ANYWAY, I had some leftover rotisserie chicken, so I made this chicken salad for my supper. Sara doesn’t like cold salads that could just as well be hot, and she doesn’t like mayonnaise-y salads (Joy’s chicken salad is an exception to both these rules), and she doesn’t like grapes in chicken salad, and she likes her celery sliced very thinly. Well, I et this all by my lonesome, so I made it as I remember Mrs. Allen, my late mother-in-law, made it, and I enjoyed it very much.

Cooked chicken, celery chonks, red grapes, chopped pecans, mayonnaise, salt, pepper, and onion powder.

Sara bought a couple of new thermal polishes, and I gave one of them a try. It’s a sage that’s light when warm and dark when cold. The stamping color is a rose gold. I’m very happy with the effect(s).
