Hi, there! I’m Tipper Allen, and guess what? It snowed here last week and I snuck out!
Momma went out to take a picture, and I pushed the door open and got out and wouldn’t come when she called.

I hopped up next to the wheelbarrow.

Then I went over by the ladder.

Momma said, “Have fun,” and went back in the house. I got under the porch, where I always go. When she came back out to look for me, I meowed up close to the house, but she said she wouldn’t take the boards up so I could come straight in. She never takes the boards up for me!
Chickie: Don’t go out.
But it’s fun!
Chickie: Is there a food bowl out there? No. Is there a litterbox out there? No. Are there toys out there? No.
There’s leaves!
Chickie: Inna snow? No. Plus, if you go unnerda porch, you gotta come alla way back out and over to the door. ‘Cause Mommy won’t pull up the porch boards for anybody!
ANYWAY, I finally came up. I had to stop and look around one last time and pretend I was going to run away again.

But I was really, sekrickly glad to be inside.

A WRITING PROMPT FOR ANIMALS: Do you like the snow?

November 24, 2019 at 5:45amThe Adventures of a Fearless Feline! You blended into the snow so well, Tipper. I’m amazed your Mum could take a picture at all. Bet your toes were cold though. -hugs-

November 24, 2019 at 12:22amHah! I love the bit about the boards! Cletus tried to have a snow ambenture last winter and I took photos and people commented as though I’d kicked him out and wouldn’t let him back in, lol! I’d open the door and he’d be like, “Thanks, I’d like the option, although I’m not actually coming back in.” Eventually he got cold enough.

November 25, 2019 at 7:13am“I’d like the option” — EXACTLY! He would love it, if I would just stand at the door, holding it open, so he could choose.

November 23, 2019 at 6:33pmYou blend in pretty well with the snow, Tipper – that might not be a good thing. Chickie’s right, no food bowls out there.

November 25, 2019 at 7:12amIf he gets out there and tangles with a woodchuck or a coyote, a food bowl will be the least of his worries. But kids — they won’t listen!
