I’m posting on my personal blog today, about country life and small-town life.

writing prompt: Write about five people your main character doesn’t want to know because they come from a different environment (he/she is city-bred and they’re country- or small-town-bred or some other variation on that theme). How do they fit the stereotypes he/she has of them? How are they different? Does he/she come to see any value in them? Don’t make it all salt-of-the-earth or all destined-for-the-special-hell.

July 11, 2010 at 12:59pmWheeee! This is something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time, now–I was hoping the Blog Book Tour class would give me some focus on what to do and how to do it. Thanks, Dani!

July 10, 2010 at 12:50pmI sure think so! Every so often, an angel or a devil can be a nice change of pace, but most characters are much more interesting and enjoyable when you mix it up a little.
