Instagram has been serving me ads for She Hulk: Attorney At Law for months. The first episode dropped on Thursday and I had to give it a try. I had to, you understand that, don’t you? I had no choice.
First, I love lawyer shows. Second, Jameela Jamil has a part in it. Third, the concept looked intriguing. Fourth, it looked as if it would be funny.
But mostly, Mark Ruffalo is in the first episode as the main character’s cousin. It tickled me to see him in his Hulk form talking to his tiny cousin in her human form.
Did I like the first episode? The answer is a big fat yes. For one thing — and I realize there’s a great extent to which this is not actually funny — She Hulk can control hulking out because, as a woman, she has to deal with her fear and anger All. The. Time. She has to control her emotions All. The. Time. She has to be self-aware because she constantly has to walk the line between being perceived as weak and being perceived as abrasive.
Good music, too.
This week is another random plate. As you can see, I haven’t done my clean-up yet.
The plate is BeautyBigBang’s XL-060. The orange/yellow base polish is pop-arazzi’s Harvest Moon, the blue base polish is Maniology’s I See Blue, the faint black stamping is Maniology’s Lace Nail Laquer, and the blue stamping polish is Maniology’s Prana.
A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: Controlling anger and/or fear.
