Clarissa Draper at Listen To The Voices says that Vicki Rocho at Rambles & Randomness is hosting a blog fest. I’ve never participated in one, and I decided January 1 was a good time to start, especially since this one is easy-peasy. I just have to post a picture that makes me smile every time I look at it.
This is mine:
This is a picture of my husband and me and our #4 daughter many long years ago. I was tickling her. This is my absolute most favorite picture ever in the whole wide world. This was when her middle name was Margaret and we called her Meggie. When she grew up and got married, she changed her middle name to Marian. That’s how much we like each other.
WRITING PROMPT: If your character could name him/herself after anyone, who would it be?

Great picture! I think my favorite SOUND in the world is a child’s laughter. Thanks for joining in the fun!

Glad I had a chance to hop over and check out your picture! Too bad you can’t add sound because that would put the picture over the top! Happy New Year!

Vicki and Danette, you are so right! A little kid’s outright laughter is the world’s best medicine. 🙂
Happy New Year to you both.

There’s nothing like the laughter of a child.

Lovely photo! Meggie laughs like you. I think my character, usually Mr. Darcy, will try to be named himself after Lord Byron.

Wonderful picture! I like the story that went along with it, too. Very sweet!

I love your writing prompt website! How cool. I didn’t put a picture of my family for the blogfest because I don’t like to have personal pics on the internet (a little quirk I have). But, my family always makes me smile!

Mary, Enid, Michelle, Jamie, thank you for your comments on the picture. 🙂
Clarissa, I put very few pictures of family up, and none of the children. Little Meggie is now 27, so the child in this picture is all grown up. It would make me sad, but the woman the child became is a BFF now. 🙂 I’m glad you like the writing prompts. Everything is about writing! lol!

Thanks, Vic and Golden. 🙂 When I read about the blogfest, that was the first picture that came to mind, and none other would do. 🙂

That’s a sweet photo, Marion. Sorry, still trying to get around to all of the blogfest participants.

Thanks, Alex. I’m just waiting for my sweet little baby angel to see that I posted a childhood picture of her–and then for her to catch up to me. ~grin~
