HELLO! My name is CHICKIE!
Mommy went away again last weekend and she came home with a black eye! Tipper and I think we should go with her next time. We would attect her. If anybody came up and tried to hit her eye, we would step in front of her and say, “This hooman is under my attection! No hitting this hooman!”
We were so happy to have her home again, Adi slept on the pillow next to Mommy’s head, I slept on the window seat next to her feet, and Tipper slept on her office chair next to her side.
Tipper has been super sweet. He went into the catio and cried for me to come out with him. I didn’t want to, though. It’s too hot out there. But when he came in, I apologized by licking his face and biting him on the elbow, like I do Mommy.
Mommy rested for a few days after she got home, then she went into the office to work.
I made sure everything was ready.

I told everybody to stay out and not bother her.

And, of course, I had to make sure she was doing it right.

She says she doesn’t have any more whole weekends away for a while.
Good!

July 28, 2025 at 9:22amMarian, sorry about the black eye, but glad it wasn’t worse than that and you could still carry on with the weekend. It’s obvious your fur babies love you and give them all an extra skritch from me for being so attentive to their hooman.

July 26, 2025 at 5:32pmBlack eye? I missed something.
Or did I? The inner levels of the brain are yelling at me.
Stop scaring the cats!

July 27, 2025 at 10:56amIf you didn’t read last Monday’s post, you missed the report. Thursday before last, I was putting the last load into the car for the Imaginarium creative’s festival when I stepped wrong and flopped onto the gravel driveway. Apparently, I hit on the edge of my glasses and the temple of the glasses broke off and popped me near the eye. Sara and Michael helped me inside and iced me down, and I went to the Imaginarium with nothing worse than a black eye. I got so, so lucky!

July 28, 2025 at 12:59amDammit! I missed that one too. I’m glad it was ‘only’ a black eye. Is it your shoes maybe? I’m glad Chickie and the Crew are there to look after you. -hugs-

July 28, 2025 at 8:49amNo, it’s the stepping stone at the bottom of Mom’s (now Sara’s) front steps. It’s octagonal, and I stepped where a corner shoulda been but wasn’t. They’ve replaced that stone with a big rectangular one. Yeah, the kitties have been doing a lot of lap therapy for me. 🙂
