#Caturday – Ozzie’s Punishment

Since I posted my Caturday post yesterday, like a dummy, I had to do something else for Caturday. But, being basically lazy, I just made a wanted poster. Here it is. Sometimes we must be cruel to be kind.

Cats are very sensitive to shaming, you know. So now he’s been punished, and serves him right!

A WRITING PROMPT FOR YOU: How would YOU shame a cat?

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

Some cats, like some people, know no shame. I HAVE embarrassed a cat before: He didn’t care for anyone’s noticing him while he did his business. We were all supposed to go into the other room, I guess.

Anyway, Goober definitely knows no shame. When I holler at him to leave the other cats alone, he simply races into his time-out room. You’d think it was a treat!

I post embarrassing of them on FB. It’s like posting baby pictures of your teenager–hilarious AND shaming.

Although for some reason it doesn’t work too well; they keep jumping up on the table when they think I’m not looking and trying to eat my plants. Sometimes I have to go straight to cuddle punishment. You know, picking them up and cuddling them. It’s awful.

Have you seen the dog-shaming site? Quite funny!

I have, and it’s SO funny! Dogs CAN be shamed, but cats are only ashamed if they’re caught doing something THEY think is bad, not if they’re caught doing something YOU think is bad.

Cuddle punishment — I’ll have to tell Mom that one. That sounds like something she would go in for. 🙂
