Yes, went to the doctor for my annual, and all my lady bits passed muster. I weigh too much, and my cholesterol is too high (although my HDL — the good kind — it’s the helper — is so high in relation to my LDL — the wicked kind — it’s lousy — I’m not in danger). My triglycerides are slightly up, but still quite low.
So pretty good news, overall. And the best part is: I don’t have to go back for a lower lady bits inspection ever again! One of the many perks of monogamy. Or, I suppose, celibacy. ANYWAY, the only stirrups in my future are if I ever lose my mind and get back on a horse.
Tomorrow is the first day of the April A-to-Z Blogging Challenge. My theme will be my characters, who will blog for me during the month. The first one will be Alexander (Sandy) Schneider, the cook at the Hardesty/Walton house in A DEAD GUY AT THE SUMMERHOUSE. Since Wednesday is food day at the blog, I’ve asked Sandy to share a recipe.
It will also be the first of the month, so I’ll have a new Hot Flash for you.
Today is Tuesday, and I’m blogging at Fatal Foodies with a recipe for penne pasta and broccoli.
A WRITING PROMPT FOR YOU: A character gets good news about her lady bits. How does she celebrate?
