BUSTED #Caturday

[Note from MomGoth: This is the first of the month, so there’s a new Hot Flash on the Hot Flashes page.]

Sweetie Pie Turner here, MomGoth’s mom’s cat.

MomGoth is pretty sneaky! She’s been putting placemats and papers on Mom’s kitchen table. Yesterday morning, she took a picture of the evidence she got that way.sweetiebustedI tried to explain it away.

sweetiebustedscuse“A bad guy came up from the basement and knocked those papers off the table! Then he snuck back into the basement and just giggled….”

But she didn’t believe me.

I finally confessed.

sweetiebustedshame“Okay, I admit it. I was on the table.” Gosh! Hire a lawyer and sue me!

A WRITING PROMPT FOR ANIMALS: Are you allowed on the kitchen table? If not, why not?

Justs try to make a cat avoid a table! It’s right there! It’s up high! I get attention when I’m up there! Best place inna world!

What irritates — and, let’s be honest, amuses — me is that you CAN train a cat to stay off the table … when they know you’re looking.

Not good for Cat-Human relations, but a spray bottle of cold water works a treat. Just saying…;)

It does work wonders, so long as you catch the cat in the act. When they sneak, and they’re off the table in your presence, they’ve got you beat!

If I were you, I would look in the basement, just to be sure.

LOL! I take my lesson from Satchel Paige: “Don’t look back. Something might be gaining on you.”
