I got a cheap Kindle Fire and downloaded Minecraft to it, and I’ve been playing around. Mindful of Dan’s comment that all I needed was a railroad, I built one. Not much of one: it only goes from my house to my barn, but I built it.
No train, alas, just a mine cart. Still….
Okay, here’s my house, built between the trunks for four huge trees.
The roses are courtesy of Youngest Grandson, my Minecraft mentor. When he was showing me how to build, he said, “The first thing I do when I build a house is plant flowers outside.” So I do, too.
Here is the second story.
There’s a ladder from lower floor to upper floor. This door leads to the tree canopy, which I can walk over for some distance.
Cool!
I’m posting today at Fatal Foodies about a soup with Charlie’s secret ingredient.

December 16, 2017 at 8:13amIn my current world, I found a chest with jungle tree saplings in it (not in a jungle biome) and planted them around my garden. What a weird game!
