Whenever I’m looking for a market for a story or poem or whatever, the first place I turn is to Ralan.com. Best. Market site. Ever. For instance, here’s his list of markets for flash fiction (stories of 2000 words or FEWER).
Another really really great place to look for markets — or, really, anything — is Erica Verrillo’s Publishing … And Other Forms of Insanity. Here’s her list of 13 paying flash fiction markets.
And OF COURSE Absolute Write. And here’s their index of flash fiction markets. Like the other sources listed here, they give markets for other kinds of writing. I’ve just linked to the flash, because Alicia Butcher Ehrhardt, a writer who is fabulous at any length, was asking me about flash markets.
