Almost Silent #Caturday – Farewell to Sweetie Pie

Sweetie Pie
Her first picture.
With her favorite childhood toy, the Blue-Footed Boobie a.k.a. The Goonie Bird
Her second-favorite thing to do. Her favorite was eating.
Yeah, like this.
Being bootiful!
two triumphant girls
On Mom’s lap for five seconds after Mom came home from one of her rehabs.
With the stone cat she snuggled and groomed. It now marks her final resting place.
When I took her to the vet to get blood drawn to see what was wrong with her. It was cancer. Of everything.
Her final pose.

RIP to a good girl and a faithful Caturday blogger.

I’m so very sorry, Marian. She’s gone to be with your mother. Much love, Andrea.

    Good cat.
    Beautiful cat.
    LOVING cat.
    Sadly Lost cat.
I read, and then, I went to cry.

We have to carry on alone. Sweetie Pie would want us to.
    Cats are people, too…

I had a stone cat, too. My daughter has always coveted it (it was given to one of my sisters in Mexico by a boyfriend she didn’t marry, so I got it because I said I liked it), so it has gone to NY state with her.

Funny how we get attached to certain things.

Glad you have pictures to go with your memories.

Oh, I have MANY pictures of Sweetie Pie! 🙂 I would take them and put them on Mom’s computer, back when she remembered how to use the computer, so she could look at them whenever she wanted to. She got a kick out of it if I got a picture of Sweetie Pie doing something funny, like “baptizing” one of her stuffed animals in her water dish.

Thanks, Mike. It’s good to know they’re free of pain and suffering, but so hard that they were IN pain and suffering.

Very hard to press like on this. It’s so hard to say goodbye to these little family members.

It is hard. It helped that it seemed like she knew it was time. But I hate it that it was time already. You know?
