Sunday Snapshot: None Of Mine

When I saw the cap of this in the yard, I thought it was a potato. Now, I’ve been known to toss scraps out in the back, in hopes of luring the groudhog or the foxes out, but I would never toss a potato. But, when I got closer, I found this.

I don’t know if this Very Large Mushroom was plucked from the forest floor or from somebody else’s compost pile, but was never mine. Is it totally random? Did a groundhog or a fox leave it in hopes of luring me out?

I think the fox is in the bushes saying, go ahead, kneel down and pick it, go ahead…come on…
