Hi, there! I’m Tipper Allen, and guess what?
Momma cleaned up the toys again, and that means I got to start dragging them out again. The first thing was my Kong, of course. She never puts treats in it anymore, because she doesn’t have to; I love it just for itself.
The second thing was my little pillow thing. I like it because I can hook it with my claws and toss it. But I have to watch out, so Chickie doesn’t rob it! Neither one of us likes the floppy fish. Boo!
Momma opened the windows last night so we had sniffs all night! I got so excited, I ran from window to window to window to window … and Momma closed the bedroom door. Chickie was mad at me about that, because she likes to sleep on Momma’s bed, and she didn’t get to.
The windows were still open this morning, but I had calmed down. I like to sit on this ledge and look out at the side yard. That glass thing next to me is a glass thing that Granny made. It went into an empty place on her front door, but Poppa made a frame for it after Granny went over the Rainbow Bridge so Momma could have it in the front room of our house.
But, like I said, I got to sit in that window and look out.
Thanks, Momma! I’m sorry I kept waking you up last night.

October 29, 2021 at 11:14amAll the pets love open windows. We love to sleep with the windows open when the temps are 40-60. Unfortunately, Sadie tends to be distracted from her sleep during these nights. Too many good and interesting smells.

September 12, 2021 at 11:08amIโm glad Tipper and Chickie have open windows. Indoor cats love open windows.

September 12, 2021 at 6:35amWe have spring smells, Tipper. This time of year the pittosporum https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pittosporum is in full bloom and the scent is heavenly, especially on warm, still evenings. I go out and sniff too. ๐

September 12, 2021 at 9:35amIt’s autumn, here, which has its own wonderful smells. Just the grass and trees and moss have a rich bouquet of sniffs.

September 13, 2021 at 8:04amI’ve often wondered what we [humans] are missing thanks to our poorly developed sense of smell.
The Offspring and I joke that Mogi [dog] goes out to the front fence to ‘check her emails’ every day. ๐

September 12, 2021 at 6:33amGreat minds, Alicia. That was my thought too. It’s so lovely, it would be a tragedy if it broke.

September 12, 2021 at 9:33amIt’s well-placed and bottom-heavy. These cats only seem to knock over things they can play with. So far, so good.

September 12, 2021 at 11:42amGood. It’s probably survived their scrutiny many times already.
