The other day, it was raining AGAIN and somebody at the store commented on it. I said something I grew up hearing, and the store person was like, “Uh… ha-ha! Yeah, I guess so.” From that, I assumed that the store person did not grow up hearing it.
So, in case that person was not alone in deprivation, here is what I said about the rain:
Lovely weather for ducks.
There was even a song about it, but I don’t know if the saying or the song came first. I suspect the saying did, but who knows?
