Music of UFO Recipe Book #FridayRecommends

Yeah, yeah, I know that Twilight Zone episode. ~grin~ But that isn’t about that.

For new readers, Friday is when I recommend books, movies, web sites, or whatever, and mash up the names of what I’m recommending into one bogus click-bait title. Sometimes you do things just because you can.

ANYWAY, I’m not sure I haven’t shared some of these before but, if I have, they bear repeating. If I haven’t, here ya go.

I. Do. Not. Write. To. Music. The only time I listen to music when I’m writing is if Charlie is listening to music and I can’t help it, or if he’s listening to something that isn’t music and I plug music into my ears to drown out what he’s listening to. But if you do listen to music when you write, I recommend SoundFuel, which has playlists for all your writing needs. Even I might give it a try one of these days.

I saw this website about a monument to the UFO abduction of a tugboat in NYC, back when I was still on Facebook. I was going to share it, but I dug a little deeper, and the story is, to my twisted mind, even better. The “monument” was an art installation. Thank you, Untapped Cities, for a wonderful article about it.

Okay, I’m pretty certain I shared this Indonesian recipe site before, but this time I specifically did a search for vegetarian, and look at all the goodies! #4 Daughter, the amazing Sara Marian, wants to take me to a Korean restaurant sometime for something I keep calling bimbamboom, but which I now see is actually called bibimbap. And here’s a recipe for it! I could totally make it at home!

Finally, The Bookish Elf is a person with  magical capability of reading ceaselessly and tirelessly. And whose ‘TBR’ list growth is more than physical growth.” Visit the site for all kindsa readerly goodness.

Well, I would say writing and composing songs is my magical ability. I have never taken classes or read any songwriting specific poetries but I still can sum-up some lyrics and compose them. Some of my jotted songs have released underground and got good response and This is my self-taught magical ability ?

    Thanks

Once upon a time I was a bookish elf, but over the years as my eyesight has gotten worse and fun little phone games have evolved, I don’t read obsessively like I once did. Oddly I don’t resent this change. I mean, it’s not like I cannot go back to being a bookish elf eventually. If I want to.
