First, I set up my Asmoke Portable smoker and grill AND I DIDN’T BREAK A NAIL OR CHIP MY POLISH. What’s that you say? Pictures or it didn’t happen?
Which brings me to my newest obsession, The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Its tag line, “Females are strong as hell” resonates me, as a woman raised by strong women.
It’s also the goofiest show I ever saw.
The Netflix original comedy series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt follows Kimmy, a woman in her 30s who was rescued from a doomsday cult. After living underground for 15 years, she goes to New York City to start life over again. When Kimmy moves in with gay wannabe Broadway actor Titus, he and their activist landlady Lillian, along with high-strung socialite Jacqueline, work together to reintroduce Kimmy to modern society.
Lillian is played by Carol Kane. ‘Nuff said, right?
The theme song is a sampling/mix of an interview with a neighbor.
Here are my this-week spring nails. I cut them a little, because they were getting too long to type with.
This is called a dry marble technique, where you layer a bunch of polishes on a plastic bag or something else they won’t stick to and then swirl them around. You let the whole thing dry for a few hours, then peel it off and cut it into nail-sized pieces. You paint a nail with sticky base coat and stick a patch on. Repeat until done. I liked it so much, I didn’t even stamp anything.
A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: Write about knowing when to quit.
