That Wonderful Summer Salad

If you don’t like raw tomatoes, this salad is a nightmare. For the rest of us, it’s bliss.

Red tomatoes, yellow tomatoes, mozzarella, and fresh herbs (this is parsley and basil). Dress it with Italian dressing, and gorge yourself in a very unladylike way. Sure, you could add sweet onions or green onions, sweet peppers, or what have you, but the tomatoes are the star(s).

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: Write about summer bliss.

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

When I think of Summer Bliss, my mind always returns to Italy, to jelly jars and cracked teacups, to wine that flowed freely, voices that sang by the garden, and of course to tomatoes and mozzarella.
