Good Question, Mr. Hamilton, Sir #1LinerWeds

Oh, Hamilton! Oh, my new favorite musical! Oh, Daveed Diggs –Did I just say that out loud?

ANYWAY, this post isn’t about either of the characters Daveed Diggs plays, it’s a line Alexander Hamilton says to Aaron Burr, when Burr advises everybody to play their cards close to their vests, that is, to not take a position in public. in the song, “Mr. Burr, Sir”, Hamilton says:

If you stand for nothing, Burr, what’ll you fall for?

I have used that quote (without the Mr. Hamilton) for decades prior to the conception of Hamilton. I agree that it’s of great import.

Really? Hamilton was conceived in the 1700s. You sure don’t look that old! 😀

You’ve been Hamil-turned! 🙂 applause I think my fave is when George Washington is trying to tell Hamilton he’s stepping down, and as soon as he says Jefferson, Hamilton says Sir, I don’t know what you heard, But whatever it is, Jefferson started it.
