Hocus And Also Pocus #MondayRecommends and #NailArt

I showed my #2 Daughter my Hocus Pocus nails this week, and she said, “Hmmm. It’s Bette Midler, it’s about witches, and it’s by Disney. Three reasons why I’ll never watch it.”

Boo!

I love Hocus Pocus. Sara and Mom and I saw it back in 1993, when we went to Disneyworld, just before it was released in theaters. We haven’t seen Hocus Pocus 2 yet, but it’s on our watch list. People don’t seem to like it as much as the first one, but that’s how sequels usually go. Still gonna watch it.

ANYWAY, here are my nails:

And what’s that on my thumbnails?

The black base color is Milani High Speed Fast Dry Black Swift, which wasn’t a success. You can see the lumps and bumps and bubbles in it. Bleh. The yellow-orange base color is Maniology’s Sunrise. I stamped the black stamps with the Milani Black Swift, which worked okay. The yellow stamping was done with Maniology’s (appropriately enough) Winnie (although it actually came with Winnie the Pooh plates). The gold flakies are Maniology’s Honeypot (also came with the Winnie the Pooh plates). The Hocus Pocus plate came from Mundo de Unas.

So — and please forgive me, but I gotta say it — by the stamping of my thumbs, something funny this way comes.

Great nails – good chuckle – I haven’t seen the movie. I hope you have a great week.

I probably won’t get to it, but imagine it to be good clean fun of a movie. And commend Disney for recasting the original actresses – many people, including some of my kids (maybe all) loved the original.

lol – the Offspring and I loved the original Hocus Pocus. I think we might even have it on DVD somewhere. Probably won’t watch the sequel though. Hollywood has a bad, bad reputation when it comes to sequels. :/

True. Nevertheless, we plan to stream it on Disney+ on Halloween. I’ll let you know if I like it or not. I have low expectations, so that might help it.
