Seek And Ye Shall Find … Eventually #1LinerWeds

I went to an eye surgeon for a consultation about my cataracts last Monday, and it was an ordeal. The doctor and his staff were delightful, but they have a pretty big “campus”. I parked at the first building with their logo that I saw, but that wasn’t where I needed to go. I walked over to another building, but that wasn’t where I needed to go. At least I got directions to where I DID need to go.

When I finally got to the correct office, I said:

Y’all are harder to find than the Holy Grail.

We scheduled my surgeries for Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. They gave me a folder of information to take with me.

I was outside searching for where I had left my car — somewhere on the “campus”, but I knew not where by that time when I got a call from the scheduler. She said I had left my information folder, and she would bring it out to the office door.

I said:

If I ever find my car, I’ll come get it.

I did find my car, I did get my folder, and I look forward to seeing clearly again. It’s been a minute.

It went very well. It’ll be three weeks before everything settles down enough for me to get new glasses, so I’m limping along with readers and short times on the computer. My distance vision is now 20/20!

Love that holy grail line… If we put up enough signs we can hide anything. Good luck on you eye surgery.

I hope it wasn’t raining! Great one-liners, but what an ordeal.

It wasn’t raining, I’m happy to say. At least I know where to tell Sara to park when she takes me to my operations on Tuesday and Wednesday.
