Monday Recommends and Nail Art: Comedy and Blotchedy

Instagram showed me a clip of a new-to-me comedienne, Taylor Tomlinson, and I immediately added all three of her hour-long Netflix specials to my queue and watched them all this weekend. I also tried her late-late night show, After Midnight, but I didn’t like it as much.

The specials were like hanging out with your girlfriend — the one who can tell stories from dull to apalling and make them funny. The one who has holes in her filter, so she doesn’t say all her inside thoughts out loud, just enough of them that you can’t wear a white blouse to have coffee with her unless you want to be wearing nose-snorted coffee stains home.

My nails this week didn’t come out as I had envisioned them. I don’t know what went wrong, but I don’t hate them. They’re a moosh of orange, brown, green, and red sparkles, stamped with gold.

In other news, #4 Daughter is ENGAGED to the love of her life, the fabulous Michael Ignacio, Jr., writer and voice actor. I’m absolutely crazy about him, so I couldn’t be happier.

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

She sounds like a funny lady. I don’t have Netflix, but maybe she’s done work on other places.

Nails look good to me 🙂

PS. Still not getting notifications until the following day 🙁

I’ve dug around, and I can’t find any setting on my end that’s causing it. That said, I doubt it’s anything on your end, either. I wonder if everybody else is having this problem? I’m baffled. I’ll continue to look.
