Hi, there! I’m Tipper Allen, and guess what? There was a tomato warning — TWO tomato warnings! — and Momma had to hide inna basement. She usually loves tomatoes, but I guess it’s too early in the year.
Momma: Tornado, Tips. There were two TORNADO warnings.
Oh. Anyway one was in the morning, and #1 Hooman Sister and Mr. #1 Hooman Sister came for a storm party, since they don’t have a basement. Momma said, “I guess my breakfast will be inedible.”
#1 Hooman Sister game Momma the side eye, and Momma said, “Oh, don’t worry: I turned the stove off before I came downstairs.”
And #1 Hooman Sister said, “…OHHHHH! I thought you said your breakfast would be an edible!“
Momma said, “Oh, not in the morning.”
Well, the storm didn’t hit here, but there was another warning in the evening, and Momma was cooking some morel mushrooms. #1 Hooman Sister was at work, but Mr. #1 Hooman Sister came and told Momma she needed to get downstairs right away.
She said, “Not without my mushrooms, I’m not!” So she finished cooking them and put them on a paper town and took them downstairs and ate them in the basement.
Then she relaxed afterwards by taking pictures of ME.
A WRITING PROMPT FOR ANIMALS: Are you scared to tomatoes?

April 9, 2024 at 6:10amYou all live in tornado country? Eek?!? I’m glad nothing happened. I confess, I’ve been terrified of tornadoes since I watched the movie ‘Twister’, years and years ago. I’m very glad your Mum has a basement for all of you to stay safe! -hugs-

April 9, 2024 at 10:45amOh, yeah, I’ve lived in Tornado Alley all my life. Mom’s house has a basement and my house has a basement, but #1 Daughter and son-in-law’s house doesn’t, so they come here in threatening weather. When their son was little, we didn’t want to scare him, so we called it “having a storm party.” I would grab snacks to bring down to the basement and he had special toys that he only played with then, and we told jokes and played games. Tornado warnings still make me weirdly happy. lol

April 6, 2024 at 10:43amGibbs and Hoshi don’t know what tomatoes (I usually don’t have them in the house) or tornadoes are. They do know what April snowstorms look like and don’t seem to be afraid. They both commend Tipper on his reporting skills, although they recommend he double-check with the hooman before publishing his post. PS: Hoshi seems to be smitten and wants to know if Tipper is single. I think she only wants to steal his food.

April 6, 2024 at 12:47pmLOL! Tipper IS single, but his sisters say any food that’s stolen is belong to them. Tipper checks with me before he publishes if he thinks he might be spelling something wrong. Trouble is, he always thinks he’s right, so he doesn’t check.

April 6, 2024 at 1:17pmCats are always right. It’s us hoomans that mess up when we don’t feed them on time or enough. ^_^
