Food Tuesday: Happy Place Dish

#FoodTuesday #writingprompt

My family. This is how we did. Now Grandpa and Mom are gone, and Sara goes yuck, so now it’s only me.

Tomato, cottage cheese, mayonnaise, salt and pepper.

Alternatively, cottage cheese, mayonnaise, and grape jelly.

A family thing.

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: Something one family shares that makes other people go ICK!

I’m going to join Sara on this one. Not so much our family, but I like butter, peanut butter and tomato slices on sourdough bread (when the tomatoes are fresh). That makes my wife go ‘ick’

Yeah, I would have to try that in your presence, so you could eat it if I didn’t like it. Not going to waste a perfectly good tomato on a long shot.

Hi, Marian. I’ve never heard of that, but it actually sounds pretty good. Too bad I’m allergic to eggs (mayonnaise). I’ve been eating cottage cheese more often the past couple of years. The hot season lasts so long down here that I’m always looking for something cold for dinner.
I like the writing prompt. It’s a good reminder to put food in stories. Hugs.

I love tomatoes stuffed with cottage cheese, with or without mayonnaise. You might want to look into vegan “dressing and spread”, which is in the mayonnaise section. That’s what I use.
