Sunday Snapshot: Not Tiny Anymore

#SundaySnapshot #writingprompt

When Charlie planted this tree, it was tiny. When he built this playhouse, #4 was tiny. Neither is tiny anymore.

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: Once tiny, now not.

About

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

We were talking about it the other day. He would have cut it down by now. He had a habit of planting things and then being unsatisfied with them and rooting them out. We used to have a beautiful grapevine he planted from a friend’s rooted cutting. It never bore grapes, but the leaves were beautiful and I used them to make dolmas. But he got tired of it and dug it up! He’s cut down peach trees, pear trees, tulip poplars, and rooted out gardens and flower beds. We KNOW he would cut that tree down if he were alive and hearty. Seems kind of mean-spirited to cherish it. lol
