Thursday Doors: Corydors: Around the Liquor Store

#ThursdayDoors #writingprompt

I went to the liquor store in downtown Corydon — if “downtown” is the word I want — to see if they had anything different from what they have at the liquor store on the hill, where I usually go. There’s a little apartment building next to the store that has the coolest details!

This is not the door to the liquor store, but it is A door OF the liquor store. I don’t know if it opens. A vending machine has a door, right? Several, if you count the one that opens for restocking, the one you reach into to get your drink, the coin return, and the money slots.

On the cross street are the town hall (to your left) and one of the two funeral homes (to your right).

This isn’t a door, but it was inside the liquor store and how could I not snap it for you?

It’s advertising Buffalo Trace bourbon, appropriately. And here’s a little rabbit hole for you to go down, about the Vincennes Buffalo Trace in southern Indiana. You’re welcome.

About

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

These are fine doors, and I’d be disappointed if you didn’t share the buffalo. That is good bourbon.
