Caturday: Cats In The Doghouse, Chickie and Tipper

HELLO! My name is CHICKIE!

It was a quirpy week. Sometimes you just gotta quirp on the rugs. This week it was my turn, although Adi snuck and hacked up a hairball in a corner. I made a mistake and quirped on Mommy’s bed so, after she washed the bedclothes, she made me use pee pads for days.

I look good on them.

The other day, I woke up at 6:30 and I wanted Mommy to get up, but she wouldn’t. She tucked her arms under the cover so I couldn’t nip her. So I went and drank a bunch of water and stood behind the bed and glooped and glurped until I quirped some. Mommy got up.

Mommy uses the scratchy, hidey, sitty thing I used to play wif when I was little as a footrest, since I don’t use it anymore. So I decided to use it again.

Mommy was watching a moobie about a man who killed about a million people because they stole his car and killed his dog. I watched some of it with her.

But I got bored. No cats. Besides, being on my place made me feel like a kitten again.

Tipper got all meanie-weanie the other day and fought me REAL HARD! I ran up on the catbird seat, and he ran after me. Mommy caught him with a piece of my fluff IN HIS MOUTH and he got in truh-buhhhhl!

But then we made up and we’re friends again.

Nothing gets a person out of bed faster than that sound. We don’t have cats anymore, but I can still hear it.

They’re like siblings: at each other’s throats one minute and besties the next.

Never a dull moment. Cleaning up – wouldn’t be a good thing for me to have to do. Not very mobile, and we have wall-to-wall carpeting.

It’s not all purrs and pets, is it?

I have wall-to-wall carpeting, too. At least I can honestly answer my doctor when he asks, “Yes, I exercise. I do squats and some arm work.”

Chickie, sorry for the tummy troubles. Adi too. We sometimes quirp, but mom gives us fish oil (yum) for hairballs and kibble made for sensitive tummies. Doesn’t stop the quirping on the couch or the kitchen table or floor, but since mom is mean and keeps us out of the bedroom at night, we don’t have the opportunity to heave on the bed. That would be a nice change of pace, if only…

Love to you and your housemates,
    Gibbs and Hoshi
