So #4 Daughter and #4 Daughter’s Mister took me to see A MINECRAFT MOVIE. Neither one of them has ever played Minecraft, but they know I’m all eat up with it, so they took me to see it. heartheartheart

It looked like a blend of Creative mode and Survival mode, and since I only play Survival mode Peaceful level, there was a lot of it that was outside of my experience. I also suspect it was based on what I call Big Minecraft, and I play Pocket Edition, since I play on my phone. I knew most of the monsters from watching my grandsons play, because OF COURSE they had to play against monsters. Sara got a kick out of the fact that, in this total fantasy movie, what stuck in my craw was that the characters could just reach down and pick up a bone any time they needed one, AND BONES ARE HARD TO GET.

Jason Momoa played a lonely has-been holding on to his one moment of glory, a total doofus, shrieking in terror when anyone other than the usual Jason Momoa character WOULD shriek in fear.

Anyway, it was terrific fun. It was me and a bunch of preteen boys going “I. Am. STEVE!” and applauding.

This outing was a surprise, or I would have done Minecraft nails. As it was, I used my new Maniology plates to do what Sara called Jetson nails.

The base colors are orange, green, pink, blue, and cranberry, stamped with black, blue, cranberry, orange, green, and pink. OF COURSE the black smeared, because Maniology’s Straight Up Black does that, the bastard.
