King of the Sniffs

The handsome king rejoiced, and the whole kingdom rejoiced with him. The king loved to leave the palace alone, but he was too precious for his security detail (Momma) to let him do it. Now, the Royal Architects (also Momma, plus #1 Hooman Sister) had installed a magic portal he could open by himself and be outside but safe.
(It was his security detail who was worried about safety, because the handsome king was fearless.)
The magic portal would open at the touch of a paw of head. It was truly magic.
Adi: I must be a wizard, then, because I could open it on the first day, and you still have to cry for EverMom to poke your head through and push.
THE HANDSOME KING WAS CAUTIOUS, AS A GOOD KING SHOULD BE. ONLY A DUMMY WOULD JUST PUSH THROUGH A MAGIC DOOR LIKE BOOM! THROUGH THE MAGIC DOOR.
Adi: Chickie needs a shove, too.
The handsome king had a sister who was almost as smart as he was, and she didn’t exactly trust the magic door because she was too smart, unlike his dumb sister, who just muscled right through. Dummy.
So anyway, the handsome king and his clever sister liked to be in the inside/outside place together because they were besties when they weren’t fighting.
The king’s dummy sister went in and out all the time and hogged it and hissed at the clever ones when they wanted to come in, but she couldn’t be out there all the time, so the handsome king still got to use it a lot.
The Royal Architect (Momma) calls him The Cooler King. He doesn’t know why, but he likes the sound of it.

May 23, 2025 at 10:19amSo far, so good. He and Adi both love it out there. He’s out there sniffing even as I type. Chickie doesn’t seem interested. As Sara said, Chickie was born and raised outside, so she’s probably had her fill of it.
