You wouldn’t think a slipshod, slapdash stumblebum like me would subscribe to the New Yorker, but I do. Love it!

Sometimes the fiction leaves me going, “Huh? Did the writer run out of paper or did the printer run out of ink or what? That’s supposed to be an ending?” But sometimes the fiction is superlative.

This week, “Happy Days” by Han Ong is better than superlative. It’s *chef’s kiss*. It doesn’t hurt that Beckett’s “Happy Days” is possibly my favorite play in the world, even more favoriter than his “Waiting For Godot” and Chekov’s “Uncle Vanya”.

Meanwhile, I’m all giddy about the new John Wick movie coming up, “Ballerina”, starring Ana de Armas (the nurse from “Knives Out”). So I painted my nails ballerina pink, blood red, and dark, dark blue with stripes of paler blue, just like John Wick’s soul.

About

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

I love the description of your nails. That’s a pretty good ending, too.
