Thursday Doors: More Sara In Spain

Sara says these pictures are from a village near the one where they stayed, but she didn’t write the name down in her journal. She says arches count as doors.

And my favorite:

More Spain to come.

About

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

Oooh I love arch shapes. These are doorways, portals from a place to its other side — so doors as far as I’m concerned. Thanks to Sara for the photos.
Lately I daydream about becoming an “expat” and relocating to some other country. I know that’s not possible while I’m like I am — and I’m unlikely to get better, but it’s still a nice daydream. Even realistically, I’d never put my cats through a quarantine process and I’d be afraid to put them on a plane. Now I understand why people don’t escape those sad war-torn countries. Horsefeathers… I didn’t mean to be so morose. Wishing you a splendid new week. Big hugs.

I understand your daydream, and also your reasons for not following up on it. I used to love those fairy tales where a young girl leading a miserable life falls down a well or crawls through a passage and finds herself in a world of freedom and beauty. Pure escape.

Arches absolutely count as doors! That might be because I love arches, but… So, is your favorite the one with the sun streaming in or the one standing alone? Both very nice.

The one standing alone. I like the sun streaming picture better as a picture, but I like the solitary building best as a building.
