Food Tuesday: New Food, Old Food, Green Food, Gold Food

#FoodTuesday #Vegan #Vegetarian #CookingWithLeftovers

Okay, this is semi-leftovers, hence the post title.

#4 Daughter had dinner at The Irish Rover in Louisville, one of my favorite old haunts, and she brought me back a monster order of bangers and mash, with containers of onions and of gravy on the side.

In the New column, I had corn and kale from the farmers’ market.

I cooked the kale with the onions from the bangers and mash, and cooked some of the mash on the side. SO MUCH MASH in the order. I’ve had one meal from the carry-out already, then this from part of it, and I’ll have a feast with the rest tonight.

The corn, I blanched and cut off the cobs. I froze most of it for the winter and ate some last night with this dish.
