Caturday: Tipper Is A Mama’s Boy and A Mama Boy

Hi, there! I’m Tipper Allen, and guess what?

Momma brought my fish tail down from the Mystery Room so I can play with it again and sit on it again. Momma calls me a catfish when I sit on it and laughs, so I guess that’s funny. Funny to her, anyway.

The best thing about my fish tail is the soft little baby that’s fastened to it.

I like to play with it, then I hold it and groom it.

I have two or three babies that I groom, but I wish I had a real cat baby. I liked it when Chickie was little, and when we had Daisy. Momma says I might meet a new little cat in a few months. She says the new cat isn’t a baby, but she’s little. I hope I get to meet her, and I hope she likes me!

I guess I’ll just have to wait and see.

This will be my first Christmas without Golli for 17 years so would you mind if I steal Tipper for a little bit? Please give him a super special hug from Auntie Andrea.

Tipper had his bags packed and was very sorry to learn it was only a virtual borrowing. He sends you sweet mews and warm winter purrs. HUGS

Can’t wait to see how you incorporate Peanut into the mix you already have. Have you decided WHEN that will be?

    Isn’t Peanut lonely up there?

But if you don’t introduce carefully, do you get a situation that’s impossible to change?

So many things I don’t know about cats in bulk!

My original plan was to shut her in the playroom until she was comfortable with me, then to let her out to explore the upstairs with the door to the upstairs closed. The plan was for her to come to the door and for her and the other cats to smell each other and get used to the smells, and then I planned to open that door and let them mingle. But Adi pushed the door to the playroom open before I shut the door to the upstairs, and Peanut started hiding in another room and only coming out when I’m not around. As far as I know, she never comes to the downstairs door, but I have a thermal curtain behind it, so I don’t suppose sniffs can come through. So now I have no idea how this is going to happen. It may have to wait until spring, when I open the upstairs.

Adi and Tipper and Chickie are getting along much better as time passes, although they’re still not best buds. So the situation CAN change, although it doesn’t always.

Is this the mystery cat or someone new that might be coming? Enquiring minds, and all that.
