Food Tuesday: Pea and Mushroom Pie

I found myself with masses of mushrooms and half a can of peas and a pre-baked pie shell I bought for a pie I never made, so this happened.

I cooked down some mushrooms and onions and probably added some bacon bits, cream of mushroom soup, and the leftover peas. I mixed in much, much cheese and topped it with more of the same, as you can see from the toasty cheesy top crust. Baked it until the top crust was … toasty cheesy.

It was very good.

Hmmmm. I don’t know. I think the next step might have been moving the whole mix toward a tuna casserole, but if this is your thing, who am I? It does look good.
