Sounds like the name of a pub, dunnit? But no.
I’ve come across a couple of Nero Wolfe books I haven’t read yet, and it’s like opening a treasure box! Nero Wolfe is an “armchair detective” created by Rex Stout. My mother introduced me to the Nero Wolfe books, and I’ve been hooked ever since. An armchair detective, in case you didn’t know, is one who solves cases by mostly sitting and thinking about them. They need legmen to bring them facts and people, and the one who works for Nero Wolfe is a wiseass named Archie Goodwin. He likes the ladies and he drinks milk. Wolfe is a gourmet and an orchid breeder, he distrusts women and he drinks beer. He weighs 272 pounds (according to the author), though Archie usually describes him as a seventh of a ton. He’s also 5’11”, so I think my BMI is worse than his. Just sayin’.
I love the interactions between the energetic and responsible Archie and Wolfe, who only works when forced to do so. I’m one of those who eats up courtroom scenes with a spoon, so you just KNOW I love the parts where Wolfe gathers a group of interested parties and questions them minutely for hours, then puts together tiny bits of information into a meaningful pattern.
Now, nails:
Sara and Michael gave me a gift certificate to Holo Taco for Christmas, and one of the polishes I got was a topper called Sonic Unicorn Skin. I put it over a light blue and a dark blue. I wish you could see the shimmer and shine!

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: Something that isn’t as oversized as it’s made to sound.
