I just got onto using Dawn Powerwash Dish Spray and dis stuff is DA BOMB! I live alone, right, so I don’t want to run a sink of soapy water for just a few dishes, so I tend to let the dishes pile up for a few days and then it’s a chore. With this stuff, you don’t run a sink of soapy water. You get the water running hot and turn it off. Spray a dish, wipe it with a cloth, turn on the hot water and rinse the dish, and turn the water off. I can do just a few dishes at a time with minimal water. BOOM! It’s also great for cleaning the air fryer rack.

My nails this week are peacocky. Just because. The base colors are teal and multi-color flakies, and the stamping is gold.

My featured book this week is The Wolves of Port Novo.

Elderly priest of Holy Sweet Micah, Aunt Libby, leaves her parish in a huff and walks into danger. Not from the tough young mercreature who robs her, not from the pragmatic waterfront restaurateur who gives her the briefest possible shelter, but from fellow priests. “Reaver” priests, mercenary and cynical, have driven all true priests out of Port Novo and plan to expand their power as far as possible. One old woman isn’t going to stand in their way. Or so they think.

Excerpt:

“Let’s go,” said Clare. She raised her loaded crossbow. “Now.”
“I want to see who it is,” Loach said.
“I can’t afford to wait. I can’t afford to be taken again.”
“Then go on without me, or shoot me, or something, but you’re not going to use me for live bait.”
“You,” Clare said to Muriel.
Muriel’s color had returned. She sat straight in her saddle, at ease at last. “No.” Her eyes shone with dark courage. She locked gazes with Loach, who recoiled from the role of Inspiration. “I don’t want you to shoot me, but I’m not live bait, either.”

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: Would you rather be shot or used for live bait?

Cool nails and a nice excerpt. We do our dishes in much the same manner. I replaced the dishwasher with a cabinet two years ago.
