March 12, 2026 at 5:31pmIt’s good to get a look at Peanut. She’s a cutie. Any chance she’ll be joining the whole crew?

March 13, 2026 at 9:23amWhen the weather heats up, I open the upstairs so the hot air can rise. Then the others will be able to go up where she is, and we’ll see if she comes out for other cats. She sure doesn’t come out for me. But she still plays when I’m not there, so we’ll see if the crew can reassure her.

March 8, 2026 at 7:32pmHow do you know when it is safe to introduce a new cat to the others?
Peanut is in for a good experience – when she lets it happen.
Sigh.

March 9, 2026 at 8:37amYou never know how introductions are going to go. I can’t exactly introduce Peanut, since she hasn’t let me know her. What I’m going to try is to open the upstairs to the other cats when the weather gets warmer, which I do every year, and see if they can win her over. If it doesn’t go well, I’ll just have to keep the upstairs closed for her forever.

March 8, 2026 at 6:38pmLMAO! I do like Peanut…a lot! Clearly there’s nothing wrong with her hearing! I hope she learns to trust one day coz she’s a sweetie. Waves silently at Peanut.

March 9, 2026 at 8:35amI hope she does, too, because she’s clearly traumatized right now. All I can do is give her space.
