There are three colors on the land, just as there are under the sea: blue, green, and other. There are many different shades and qualities of these three, just as there are under the sea. There are plants, animals, and solids on land, just as there are here.

Yes, that’s right. There are currents on the land. Sometimes tiny solids can be seen carried along in those currents, just as we see happen all around us here.

Yes, they certainly do! They aren’t very good at it, though, are they?
Has anyone ever eaten a land creature who was swimming in our currents?
Some of them do have hair, yes. Well, many of us find that disgusting, but the hair comes off if you scrape it away, you know. I would rather study them than eat them, just speaking for myself, but many people think they taste very nice.
All right, stop pretending to regurgitate! Our field trip is NOT to a land creature specialty restaurant, despite what the seniors have told you! We’re going to … the terrarium!
Yes, the big one, with all the different habitats. But don’t tap on the glass, because it startles them. We’re scheduled to be there during feeding time. Won’t that be interesting? Well, they breed or grow things the land creatures eat in separate terraria, then put the things in with them and let them find it. Sometimes, if there come to be too many of one animal, they’ll put another kind in with it and let one kind kill and eat the other.
I know you hope that happens while we’re there, but they couldn’t promise, so you’ll just have to hope!
