The web address was all in one piece, not separated by spaces, so a live link, and I knew it was a real address, but, when I right-clicked on it, the address it revealed was a different one than the one shown. The false address ended with /email-grudge.
Yes! I knew it! Clever of her to do the real address linking to a false one. Clever of her to make mistakes in the body of the text when I know her to be meticulous in her human spelling, grammar, and syntax. Stupid of her to not know email programs would show her real name and email address!
Fairy Griffo and I had been mortal enemies since we were hatched from the dew on flower blossoms. As soon as her wings dried, she gobbled down the pollen from her blossom and shoved me away so she could gobble the pollen from mine. There were plenty of other blossoms, but she just had to have someone else’s. Spiteful.
She worked hard, I’ll give her that, and did better than any of us in human communication skills. But she had to rub her successes in, make sure we all knew she was better than we were. As it happens, I did better than she did at illusion and transformations. The pumpkins she turned into coaches still had their seeds in them! After years of practice, that cleared up, but there would always be the random string hanging from the ceiling and a faint smell of squash. And something always went wrong with the wishes she granted; there always turned out to be a catch, whether she meant there to be or not.
Naturally, I made Fairy Godmother rank before she did, and she never forgave me for it.
I deleted her email and didn’t even bother to reply. I don’t have time for that. I have a christening to go to at the castle along with two of my fellow Fairy Godmothers. I happen to know Fairy Griffo wasn’t invited. She’ll be angry when she finds out but, after all, what can she do about it?

MY PROMPT FOR TODAY: This actual phishing email that actually said it came from Fairy Griffo.
