Food Tuesday: Old and New

#FoodTuesday #writingprompt

I went to the farmers market AND I ordered delivery from a local Mexican restaurant, so the next day I made this:

The plate from the restaurant came with pico de gallo, which I wasn’t about to eat in these days of cyclowhatsit, so I cooked it in a little oil and added fresh corn cut from the cob. I mixed the rice and carnitas and heated them up and topped them with shredded cheddar, a little lime juice, and cumin.

Yeah, it was good!

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: A food fear.

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

Good call to cook it all! Who has time for that train derailment, right?

Right! I broke down and bought some lettuce today, but I WILL be washing it. I may put it through the heavy cycle on my washing machine, just to be sure.
