Hi, there! I’m Tipper Allen, and guess what? Momma has a Mystery upstairs. She says it’s a new cat, but I think she’s teasing me. I don’t hear a cat and I don’t smell a cat from the crack under the door. I smell things a cat eats and things a cat does after it eats, but I don’t smell a cat.

One time, Momma left the door not-clicked-shut and I pushed it with my mighty manly muscles and it opened. I sniffed around, but I didn’t see a cat or smell a cat much, and that little smell might have been left over from when Chickie was a kitten and Poppa kept her in that room because she pounced on me all the time.

I sneaked upstairs and waited for Momma in secrek to see what she was really doing upstairs.

But she saw me and I had to run away.

Momma started singing: “Jump down, spin around like a ball of cotton. Jump down, spin around, hop and run away.”

Anudder time, I stretched out on the ledge around the stairs and pretended I was a box of crayons, but Momma said, “Oh, a box of all white crayons? How unusual!”

So I give up. Yeah, Momma. SURE, there’s a new cat up here. SURE there is.

Meanwhile, I took over her footstool. It’s perfect for a throne for a King. Maybe I’ll hold it hostage until she tells me the truf.
