Food Tuesday: Smashed Pertaters

#FoodTuesday #writingprompt

OMG. SO GOOD!

These are easy, but not particularly quick, unless you consider an hour quick.

I started with baby gold potatoes. Boiled them in salted water for 20 minutes.

Buttered a tin I saved from a Door Dashed meal, put the drained and dried potatoes in, and smashed them with a fork. Some people prefer to use the bottom of a glass. Whatever. Then I put more butter on top and sprinkled them with salt and pepper. Other herbs and spices would be good, too.

I popped these into the air fryer at 400 F (~204 C) on the bake setting for 15 minutes.

I had fully intended to top these with cheese, but they looked so good as is I just et ’em. Good call. Don’t gild the lily.
