MaMA was gone too much over Christmas, of course, instead of being home petting me, but Santa Claws came and brought me a bunch of stuff!
I believe she must have helped Santa pick those out, because they’re all stuff I told MaMA I wanted: a scratchy thing with a feathery thing attached, a collar with sparklies on it, chicken-flavored treats, and catnip mice!
Now MaMA is home for a while, and I get her all to myself. We moved our work/petting station back to the front room because we like it better.

Ami, it looks like Santa Claws knows you very well! You, I suspect, have been a VERRY good girl this year.
My special cuddle girl, Squirrel, has sort of done a reverse thing lately: She’s gone INTO the closet. I’m currently waiting for her to come out. But she likes her new digs very much and has had to spend a bunch of time in there, sleeping and grooming and blinking her eyes at me when I turn on the light. She has taken a few expeditions into the rest of the house, during which I ascertained that she is not ill. Nope. Just enjoying a change of scenery. She did come out on Christmas Eve night to get under the covers with me. And then –WHOOSH– back out and zoom into her apartment. One attractive feature is that there’s no room for Goober in her new domain. Heh. Fly away, Goober! And go lay yourself down in ALL of Squirrel’s other favorite places in the house! Oh, Boy, when she comes out……
