Three Furnitures and a Portal #ThursdayDoors Update

I haven’t been anywhere new this week, so I had to rely on the home place and the kindness of a friend for my doors.

Not my home, actually, but #1 Daughter lives just along the drive, and I visited her, so I took these pictures of some of her more doorish furniture:

Pie safe or milk cooler or something rural. Holds cat food.

Escritoire aka desk

What is this, Dan? A credenza or what?

And friend and fellow writer Mildred Perkins sent me another door she snapped on her peregrinations. I have absolutely no context for this one, but the setting looks kinda churchy. [UPDATE: Mildred tells me this is “a service entrance into the Indiana Memorial Union on the IU Bloomington campus.”]

I love the stonework and, of course, the arch! I love the simple detail on the door, too, with the vertical strips making it look taller.

Norm Frampton, the Grand Pooh-bah of the Thursday Doors link-up, is still on break. But you can still visit his website, look at his past posts.

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: Write about pies, church, and cats.

    Go-o-o-rgeous!
Would like to see more of the cabinet, with doors open. Is that glass or plexiglass for the window!

Excuse me. Must wipe drool off keyboard. Re the Escritoire. MORE PICS! PLEASE!
Must see doors open and drawers and thingies inside. Who cares about contents? Leve ’em be!

Now drooling over the Credenza. More Pics Please!

Nice building door! Any more data avail?

Door looks like the back door of a small ch8urch.
The sort of place Steffie would go for peace and relaxation.

Father forgive me for I have sinned. I killed 9 spies, 14 terrorrists, and a bird.
    A bird?
Yes, father. He was a witrness, and I was afraid he would squawk.
    I see…..
    Well, father?
That’ll be one Hail Mary for the spies, one Our father for the terrorists, $20 in the poor box, and have a nice day. Try and be a good girl.
    And the bird, father?
Urrrr….. um, well I think broiling him would be best, not too much spice.

(I stole this from an old song by Allan Sherman.)
(The bird was delicious, he tasted just swell, but when I frickaseed him, he gave out a yell!…
Audi willow, tid willow willow. Da Dum.)

I know my sammich is good, I ate one a few weeks ago.
I am sure that the Crazy Russian Hacker of Youtube would agree.
And check out Steve1989MRE, for more skulky ideas.

Maybe Steffie should visit Llarnon (?) for a holiday. Blonde Librarians always have trouble with pesky spies and saboteurs. And talking books name P***.

And I took a package on ham slices out of the freezer. So, no spam here!
But I will make a sandwich with SWEDISH MUSTARD IN A TUBE!
Yes, I am a glutton. All 178 lbs of me!
