Did you know Christopher Walken is, in addition to being one of the scariest dudes on the planet, a song-and-dance man? Maybe you did know that. Maybe you’ve seen him in “Romance and Cigarettes”. Maybe you’ve seen him in “Pennies From Heaven”. But have you seen him in … PUSS IN BOOTS?
Here he is, singing, “Happy Cat” from that great, great movie.
WARNING: Do not watch this if you’re stoned. Or drinking anything. Or have a mouthful of food. Or are in the library. Or are in a public place.
A WRITING PROMPT FOR YOU: Someone unexpectedly breaks into song.

September 24, 2012 at 9:09amYou guys are too funny. I would like to see some of those Deadman Walken movies. Ah, Mr. Walken. One of the neatest shocks of life was seeing Chris get up there right in the middle of Pennies from Heaven and start tap dancing. Big, production number tap dancing. Oh, yes, and his appearances on Saturday Night Live!

September 24, 2012 at 9:22amHe’s tremendous, isn’t he? I love how he can go from a twitch to a dance move in one second flat.

September 23, 2012 at 5:18amPeople who like Christopher Walken for his weirdness today have no idea what a handsome young dude he was in movies like “Next Stop,Greenwich Village,” “Annie Hall,” and “The Dead Zone.”
How some people’s looks do fade! Thank goodness that doesn’t apply to us.

September 23, 2012 at 9:29amPerry, he could still play appealing and handsome if he wants to. He only looks creepy when he’s playing creepy. 🙂
And, yeah, you and I need to take it easy on those poor unfortunates who don’t just keep on getting better looking with age, like we do. 😉
–I don’t know about you, but I’m getting my eyes checked on Thursday. I don’t plan on wearing the new glasses when looking into a mirror. I find that’s really the secret to improving with age….

September 23, 2012 at 9:26amDani, that’s how you know he’s a terrific actor: He can do anything from cool and handsome through edgy all the way to batshit mayhem and it’s all utterly believable. As Mom says, “Now THAT’S talent!”

September 22, 2012 at 4:11pmI do remember “Puss in Boots” one of the stranger movies I have ever seen. We saw it on TV when we lived in NYC.

September 22, 2012 at 4:54pmMom taped it off the television when she lived in upstate New York! lol
James Hilton
September 22, 2012 at 8:04amSounds more like his brother, Deadman Walken…
