Fall (or Autumn, if you aren’t American) is my favorite season, mostly because of the brilliant colors of the leaves. It’s a gloomy old week this week, but the trees are doing their best to be colorful, in spite of the gloom and high winds.
Good effort, Fall!
I’m posting today at Fatal Foodies about chestnuts. Mmmmm!
A WRITING PROMPT FOR YOU: Write about somebody who loves the autumn. Other than Ray Bradbury, I mean.

October 14, 2014 at 10:07amAh, chestnuts! Yummy good!
I so fondly recall roasting those babies in my oven.
And then one of them exploded! I suppose I hadn’t scored it enough. “X” didn’t quite mark the spot.
I was picking up rock-hard bits of chestnut from the nooks and crannies of my kitchen for MONTHS!

October 14, 2014 at 3:56pmEeeeeeee! I’ve exploded a potato, and I’ve exploded an egg, and I’ve exploded a can of soda — and I’ve exploded a pressure cooker. So far, (knock wood) not a chestnut.
