I just found out my husband never heard of tin foil hats. How was his education so neglected? In case you’ve never heard of tin foil hats either, I invite you to read this Wikipedia article on it.
Imagine my surprise when I read that tin foil might possibly be somewhat effective in blocking certain waves/signals in certain circumstances and in certain thicknesses, for a given value of “effective”.
ANYWAY. I was put onto the fact that these are actually for sale by friend and fellow writer, the fabulous Jo Robinson. I think. Either way, Jo is definitely fabulous.
If you want your very own hat, you can buy one on Amazon. For your convenience, here is a link to customer reviews for one popular brand.
If you’re worried about your cat, you can buy one for Mr. Fluffybritches, too. In fact, there are many products that come up in a search for tin foil hat.
On the other hand, if you want a site that has your cat’s true best interests at heart, I recommend Kitty Insight. It’s chock-full of advice about cats and reviews of kitty products. This was one of the few “I saw your post and thought my site would interest your readers” emails that I agreed with. I like this post about treating fleas naturally, for instance.

August 2, 2019 at 8:40amOh, Marian- those tin foil hats are just not effective. You have to apply aluminum foil to the inside of your windows and your walls. Then, as you see your reflection from every direction, only then- can you feel protected!

August 2, 2019 at 10:26amI actually had a sun problem. So I aluminium foiled a strip along the top of my windows. A cheap sort of shade, that actually helps cool in summer and heat in winter.
Years ago, my brother bought some foil paper, and it had a bluish tinge to it. He had bought a case of it for his hotel, but did not feel like using it with food. (DUH!) So, he had a little wet bar in the basement at home, and spent DAYS very carefully wall-papering one wall with foil. NOT ONE WRINKLE! Everyone was awed, he did such a good job.
Sort of like Doc Roy Ackerman, but not to such an extent.
And yes this is the truth. Now, as to whether I am a spammer, considering how I write, the jury is still out on that!

August 2, 2019 at 7:55pmIt’s a big part of Better Call Saul, the prequel TV show to Breaking Bad.
Saul’s brother tin-foils the whole inside of his house. Never turns on the electricity. Is nuts.
