I have a fossil fish embedded in sandstone of about that color. My husband bought it for me as a birthday present when we were in grad school. It humbles me to know it is millions of years old – and I can see it every day.

Heck, if I want to see something that old, I just look in the mirror. LOL! No, I agree–it’s awesome (genuinely inspiring awe) to look at a fossil. No wonder you married him and kept married to him — that’s a wonderful present!
